Unannounced 10.5 inch Tablet visits Benchmark

Spotted in testing by the graphics benchmark GFXBench, the mysterious tablet carries the model number SM-T805. Based on benchmark data, the device sports a sharp 2560×1600 resolution display, in Quad HD territory.

Under the hood, an Exynos 5420 processor and Mali-T628 GPU from Samsung appear set to drive performance. RAM weighs in at 3GB, while built-in storage is 16GB. The tablet seems capable of expanding capacity via microSD as well.

On the camera front, an 8MP rear lens handles primary photography along with a 2MP front-facing camera for selfies and video chat. The device runs Android 4.4 KitKat.

Samsung AMOLED Display Expected

While specifications like display size and resolution match an unnamed Samsung tablet benchmarked earlier, concrete details remain unconfirmed. However, with Samsung pushing AMOLED panels in more devices, an AMOLED screen seems likely given the tablet’s premium positioning.

Extensive testing has also apparently occurred in India, pointing to an impending launch for both the Indian and global markets. Bluetooth certification obtained from a mystery Samsung tablet in recent months could apply to this model.

Until Samsung makes the 8.4-inch slate official, leaked benchmarks provide an early glimpse at what could be a practical but powerful mobile entertainment option. Given its ample display and mid-range specs, the device looks positioned to complement the company’s high-end Galaxy Tab S series when it arrives on store shelves.
