Our reader stumbled upon an interesting listing on the Hong Kong price guide portal. SM-G906x which will be an exclusive version of GALAXY S5 for the Korean market is listed with a WQHD display (2560×1440), 3GB of RAM, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 supporting LTE-A connectivity, and surprising Android 4.4.3 – what would be making SM-G906x first Samsung device to launch with new, yet unannounced Android version.
SM-G906S was already benchmarked with matching specs and is observed in numerous (link 1, link 2) zauba shipping lists.
SM-G906x will be launched in Korea in three variants for key mobile carriers: SM-G906S for SK Telecom, SM-G906K for Korea Telecom, and SM-G906L for LG U+.
As mentioned here, there is also an SM-G905H sample PCB (Printed Circuit Board) unit in the tests, where the SM-G905H suggests a European version of the device but it is highly unlikely that this boosted version of GALAXY S5 will land in any European or US market.
