Some time ago someone broke the rumor based on a Korean trademark application that soon Samsung Mobile will be releasing a smartphone running Tizen OS. Every single blog and site on the internet including Evleaks confirmed the name and reported that Samsung ZEQ will be announced at MWC 2014.
Time passed and it turns out that Samsung was denied Samsung ZEQ trademarks in both US and Korean patent offices.

The trademark rejection is a setback for Samsung’s ambitions to create its own ecosystem with Tizen. Samsung has also struggled to attract developers and partners to support Tizen, which lacks Android and iOS popularity and app diversity. Samsung has postponed the launch of its first Tizen smartphone several times.
Samsung has not commented on the trademark issue or its Tizen plans. However, some analysts believe that Samsung will not give up on Tizen easily, as it still sees it as a potential source of differentiation and innovation.
