Pictures have surfaced that appear to confirm details about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab 3 Lite before its official announcement.
The images were spotted on a Polish retailer site and match specs previously rumored for the Tab 3 Lite. Samsung model numbers SM-T110NDWAXEO and SM-T111NDWAXEO are also revealed.
Notable specs include an 8-inch 800×1280 display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, 2MP rear camera, and 3600mAh battery. Dimensions come in at 193 x 117 x 9.7mm and 310g.
The SM-T111 adds 3G cellular connectivity. Wi-Fi-only pricing is listed at around $165 USD, while the 3G model will cost approximately $264 USD.
Of course, without confirmation from Samsung, leaked retail listings should be taken with caution. However, the images and specs align with previous reports on the Tab 3 Lite.
Samsung is aiming this tablet at budget buyers who still want decent size and capabilities. The low-res screen and plastic construction help shave costs compared to the premium Galaxy Tab S range.
If the leaks are accurate, the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite looks to deliver solid value for the price when it hits shelves. Samsung continues covering all tiers of the Android tablet market.
